Aadhar Card Update: People living in rented houses in other cities often face problems in updating their Aadhaar. To update Aadhaar, they have to provide address proof of that city. But while facing this problem, many people must have a question in their mind that can we update our Aadhaar on the basis of the landlord’s address.
The Unique Identification Authority of India has announced a new process for tenants to update their address. Through this, you can update your Aadhaar card using the rent agreement or electricity bill. Your name on this rent agreement should be the same as the one on your Aadhaar card.
Can I change my address from my electricity bill?
To change your address in Aadhaar card, the landlord’s electricity bill can work only if you have a rent agreement of that house. To change the address in their Aadhaar, tenants can get the address changed in Aadhaar card by getting a rent agreement on the basis of the electricity bill of the current landlord. If you do not have a rent agreement, then you can update your Aadhaar card on the basis of any document of the landlord.
This is the whole process
First of all you have to take the Aadhaar update form from the Aadhaar centre, after this you have to fill all the necessary information in it and give it to the concerned person.
